Why are there hard and soft limits in BDSM contracts?
Hard limits are Things I will never consider or agree to, no point even discussing. Soft limits are Things I dont usually do or like, but might consider under certain circumstances. BDSM contracts, while they do exist, are not nearly as common as people think. Most BDSM relationships are mutually agreed and can be varied depending on emotions and circumstances. You might agree to be a 24/7 slave to your master, but then your mother gets sick and needs you there every night. Even if you signed a 24/7 contract, its not legal or enforceable, and no decent Dom/Master would try to hold you to it.
